Sweet Peril (The Sweet Trilogy, #2)

Teaser #1
He pushed forward until I was against the stacked washer and dryer, and his knee slipped between my legs.
"To you," he whispered, his breath hot against my mouth. "I swear it."
The kiss became fast and frenzied, pulling each other closer with greedy hands until Kaidan broke away and breathed against my ear, "Let me see you again."

Teaser #1
With his eyes still closed he muttered a guttural plea. "Let me kiss you."
"Okay," I whispered.
"No." His eyes crashed into mine as his hands flattened against the dryer above my shoulders.
"I need to kiss you body."
Oh...yesohyesohyes...
"Okay," I managed to say.

Okay I haven't got the book yet, it shipped from U.S. on the 28th and it has not yet reached Dubai, but hopefully it will in two to three days because I am dying and I mean DYYYYING!!!!!!!!!
I hate the wait, so, so, so much!!!
So I found these teasers a few bloggers put up for their swoon Thursday post and I hope that it's a soothing balm for those International people like me who haven't yet gotten their copy. Although the above teasers offer no therapeutic relief at all, in fact they make the wait HARDER!!!! Ugh! This sucks!!!

Feature and Friday # 13

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

This is an awesome meme that allows us to get more followers and make new friends. It is hosted Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read.
Today's question of the day is ....

Q: Is there a song that reminds you of a book? Or vice versa? What is the song & the book?

Volcano and Drive Me by Phillip Phillips remind me a lot of Sweet Evil. They both remind me of the tension between Anna and Kai and the things that stand between them getting together.

P.S. Sorry I've been so absent lately, I was really busy this whole week. But from now on I will definitely update more.

Review - Of Poseidon by Anna Banks

Of Poseidon (Of Poseidon, #1)

Galen is the prince of the Syrena, sent to land to find a girl he's heard can communicate with fish. Emma is on vacation at the beach. When she runs into Galen — literally, ouch! — both teens sense a connection. But it will take several encounters, including a deadly one with a shark, for Galen to be convinced of Emma's gifts. Now, if he can only convince Emma that she holds the key to his kingdom . . .

Told from both Emma and Galen's points of view, here is a fish-out-of-water story that sparkles with intrigue, humor, and waves of romance.

This is an awesome meme that allows us to get more followers and make new friends. It is hosted Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read.
Today's question of the day is ....

Q: If you could hang out with any author (living) who would it be and what would you want to do?

This question is so easy. I would love and I really mean love to hang out with Jennifer Armentrout and Wendy Higgins. Daemon, Aiden, Cam and Kaidan!!! Seriously who wouldn't want to hang out with them!!! I would just love to know what goes on in the minds of the makers of the hottest guys in the universe.

These are the people that make hard boiled eggs sound so, soooo appealing. And son of the Duke of lust with a British accent, I mean come on! I didn't even have to think twice, these are the two people who I would just love to hang out with. Maybe they could take part in an auction or something...

P.S. For those of you who don't know, Wendy has a link to the first....  SEVEN chapters of Sweet Peril on her website, it's the condolence prize for those of us who didn't win the awesome swag.

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

This is an awesome meme that allows us to get more followers and make new friends. It is hosted Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read.
Today's question of the day is ....

Q: We are about to see a lot of posts & tweets about reader conventions, RT, BEA, ALA and many more are starting soon. Which one would you love to attend? Where and why?

I live in Dubai so I don't really get to attend these events but if I'm given a chance I wouldn't mind any because hey, beggars can't be choosers right?
But I would really love to attend this years ALA and BEA. It seems like it would be the best experience of my life. Maybe if I go college scouting with my parents in the summer I could try ask them to let me go for them.

By the way, I'm having a giveaway and if you guys like some of the books you should enter!

Waiting on Wednesday #16

Waiting on Wednesdays is a weekly book meme that lets anxious readers like all of us know what to be jumping up and down for. It is hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine.

Name: Sweet Peril
Author: Wendy Higgins
Publication date: 30th April, 2013
Sweet Peril (The Sweet Trilogy, #2)

Anna Whitt, the daughter of a guardian angel and a demon, promised herself she’d never do the work of her father—polluting souls. She’d been naive to make such a vow. She’d been naive about a lot of things.

Haunted by demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it means embracing her dark side and earning an unwanted reputation as her school’s party girl. Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the while there’s Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.
When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win will not be gained without a fight. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life?

Sentinel by Jennifer L. Armentrout

This cover really needs no words. The simplicity totally speaks for itself. I mean it is such a fitting cover for the last book. I honestly love the cover and it pretty much took my breath away because the intensity of the cover literally slaps you in the face.

The cover was revealed at Deity Island.
An exclusive teaser: "And he would wait forever for me, just as I would wait forever and a day for him."

So what do you guys think?

This week's teasers are from ... The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin.
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #1)

Teaser #1
Jamie answered with a sad shake of his head. "It's only a matter of time."
I shot him a poisonous look. "Before...?"
"Before you're doing the walk of shame out of his den of iniquity."
"Thanks for thinking so highly of me."
"It's not your fault, Mara. Girls can't help falling for Shaw, especially in your case."
"My case?"
"Noah is clearly smitten with you."

And this one a little long. So enjoy :)

Teaser #2
He was killing me. "Look Shaw--"
"We're starting with the surname nonsense, are we?"
"Hysterical. Ask someone else."
"I don't want to ask someone else. And you don't really want me to either."
"Wrong. I hopped off the table and walked away. If I didn't look at him, I'd be fine.
Noah caught up to me in two long strides. " I didn't ask you to marry me. I asked you for dinner. What, are you afraid I'll ruin the image you're cultivating here?"
"What image?" I said flatly.
"Angsty, solitary, introspective emoteen, staring off into the distance as she sketches withered leaves falling from bare branches and ..." Noah's voice trailed off, but the look of cool amusement on his face didn't.
"No, that was lovely. Please, continue."
I rushed ahead until another girls' bathroom appeared. I pushed the door open, planning to leave Noah outside while I collected myself.
But he followed me in.

P.S. I'm giving a giveaway on my blog, so I think you guys should enter!!!

Review- Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Opal (Lux, #3)

No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.
But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.
After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.
Together we’re stronger... and they know it.

Feature and Follow Friday #10

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

Q: Have you ever read a book that you thought you would hate -- ? Did you end up hating it? Did you end up loving it? Or would you never do that?
I always used to think that Cassandra Clare books, won't be so great because it was like Twilight and that all the appeal was due to the hype surrounding the books, but... I read Clockwork Angel and God I fell in love with the book! I ordered the Mortal Instruments and I just can't wait to read them because her writing is so good.
